31 years after the event, a never-before-told TRUE story of gold bullion deals, murder, stolen treasure and a ruthless dictator is finally being told.

An Australian man, Mike O’Brien, who became involved in Filipino gold bullions deals in Manila in 1983, which almost cost him his life, is taking to the world’s largest crowdfunding platform to finally tell the story of TOMORROW, THE PALACE.

What began for O’Brien and his business associates as a search for offshore loan funds to finance retirement village developments on the Gold Coast of Australia, soon turned into a terrifying series of events that culminated with the Philippines Government placing a holding order on O’Brien, leaving him unable to exit the country.

Helping O’Brien tell his story is a writer from Yahoo and the Huffington Post called Ben Falk, who has previously written biographies of Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr and British physicist and TV presenter Professor Brian Cox.

The story has already piqued the interest of two Oscar-winning film producers, who want to read a screenplay of TOMORROW, THE PALACE when one is ready. But first, O’Brien is raising finance on Kickstarter to turn his tale into a book, which can subsequently be adapted for the silver screen.

The Kickstarter campaign and further information (including a video of O’Brien) can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tomorrowthepalace/tomorrow-the-palace-an-amazing-untold-true-story.
