Michigan substance abuse treatment center A Forever Recovery makes a charitable donation to Canadian based anti-drug program "Smart Kids Don't Do Drugs"

MONTRÉAL, March 29, 2015 - A Forever Recovery, an open-ended, holistic, results based addiction rehabilitation center located in Southwest Michigan, is reaching out to their friends to the north by making a donation to the Canadian Don't Do Drugs Society to help with the support of a program called "Smart Kids Don't Do Drugs". This educational program focuses on helping many Canadian schools and other drug prevention groups. The monies donated from A Forever Recovery will be used to help deliver a comprehensive, three-phase, preventive drug education program in schools and is aimed toward students in grades 7, 8 and 9.

"It is our experience that if kids can be reached with a powerful message in their formative years it will impact on decisions they make regarding substance abuse," commented A Forever Recovery CEO Per Wickstrom. The Canadian Don't Do Drugs Society is an incorporated Canadian registered charity that was founded in 1994 with the purpose of preparing, publishing and distributing information related to adolescent drug abuse and the preventative measures that can be taken to avoid it. They have developed and initiated outreach programs for and with young people who have been using or exhibiting the likelihood that they may use drugs. By cooperating with and seeking advice from medical and related professionals, the Society aims to promote and publicize abstinence from drug use among youth in any manner possible, and to influence the youth of Canada that "Smart Kids Don't Do Drugs".
