Isle of Man, 08 December 2014  - 2014 has been an extremely successful and productive year for the *Netcetera, the Isle of Man based datacentre and hosting company and has included it being presented with several top business awards.

This includes, recently winning the Energy Awards 2014, announced at the Isle of Man Energy Expo. Ken Milne, Senior Manager for Energy Policy at the Department of Economic Development said:

“The annual Energy Awards are an excellent opportunity for the Department of Economic Development to recognise the significant achievements by local businesses to reduce their energy consumption and energy bills.

The winner this year from the private sector for the Best Practice award was Netcetera(https://www.netcetera.co.uk/datacentre/). This is an excellent example of a sustainable business that provides its clients with a 100% carbon neutral data centre.

The data centre has incorporated energy efficiency improvements and is powered by green renewable energy provided by Manx Utilities from the hydro power plant at Sulby.”

Netcetera also announced in October that the company’s ISO9001, ISO27001 and ISO 14001 accreditations have been successfully renewed following an extensive independent audit of its standards and procedures. This accreditation is only awarded to companies that demonstrate the highest quality management systems.

In September this year it has been awarded the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating their commitment to realising the potential of their people.

Investors in People is the UK’s leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, and provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Achieving the Investors in People Standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of.
