92.7 BIG FM’s ‘CLOSE-UP ANTAKSHARI’ FOR UTTAR PRADESH DRAWS TO A CLOSE
CONTESTANTS FROM LUCKNOW, ALLAHABAD AND JHANSI BATTLE IT OUT TO EMERGE WINNERS

Allahabad, April , 2013: 92.7 BIG FM’s Close-Up Antakshari for Uttar Pradesh hosted by popular actor Manoj Tiwari will come to a close this weekend. After months of showcasing their musical best, 3 teams have been selected from Lucknow, Allahabad and Jhansi to battle it out in the Grand Finale. Together forming Deewane, Parwane and Mastane, one lucky team will walk away with the Grand Prize of being crowned the Antakshari champions of Uttar Pradesh. The Grand Finale of Close-Up Antakshari will be simulcast across 92.7 BIG FM’s 6 stations in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, 27th April, 2013 between 7-9pm.
Close-Up Antakshari kicked off in Uttar Pradesh early this year with contestants from 6 cities including Allahabad, Aligarh, Bareily, Agra, Kanpur and Jhansi calling in to participate in the game. Once the semi-finalists were announced, actor Manoj Tiwari engaged them week-on-week in a unique radio singing competition that helped the show find its finalists. Rakesh Yadav and Gurpeet Kaur from Lucknow (Deewane), Mehroz and Manjeet from Allahabad (Parwane), and Reena Bhatt and Deepak from Jhansi (Mastane) emerged as the top 3 teams who will engage in 4 rounds that will test their knowledge of all things music. The grand evening will also witness numerous performances by actor-cum-host Manoj Tiwari who will not only groove to the music, but also belt out some incredible songs keeping up with the promise of providing endless entertainment to the listeners and viewers.
Speaking about the Grand Finale of Close-Up Antakshari, actor Manoj Tiwari said, “I am lucky to be blessed with ‘historic beginnings’.
