92.7 BIG FM Uttar Pradesh crowns Harsh Srivastava from Gorakhpur as Hajmola Chatpata No.1
Kanpur, 19th November:In a rolicking grand finale event held at Kanpur Lajpat Bhavan today, 92.7 BIG FM and Dabur India concluded the talent hunt for ‘Hajmola Chatpata No.1’ by crowning Harsh Sirvastava as the funniest stand-up comedian in Uttar Pradesh. The ……. year old lad from Gorakhpur, who had the crowd in splits with his witty repartees throughout the event, walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 50000 and a golden chance to meet Bollywood Star Ajay Devgn Rajnish from Lucknow was crowned first runner-up and Sanjog from Kanpur as second runner-up and walked away with Rs. 30000 and Rs. 20000 respectively in front of a 1000 strong audience in the city today!
This mega talent hunt that ended in a grand ceremony today saw special performances not only from the finalists but also from comedian Sunil Pal who also was the judge for the finale. The Grand Finale was also graced by the presence of Bollywood Actress Raveena Tandon who thoroughly enjoyed the show as a special guest for the day. While the top 10 contenders for the title kept everyone entertained with their lashes of pungent humour and tongue-firmly-in-cheek comments, singer …………. along with his/her troupe entertained the ecstatic audiences. The judges had a tough time picking out the top 3 performances who then presented their best acts in a fierce battle of wits for the coveted title Harsh Sirvastava, Rajnish and Sanjog competed at par in the final round at the end of which comedian judge Sunil Pal announced and awarded Harsh Sirvastava as the most deserving candidate for the title.

India is a country that has no dearth of comic talent. The talent hunt started in September 2013 across 80 towns in Uttar Pradesh when audition booths travelled across cities like Allahabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly etc. registering people, who were present to showcase their best in comedy. Participants thronged the booths and a stringent scanning process was followed, to select the top 10 finalists to compete at the grand finale.
