Lane End Conference Centre, a Buckinghamshire-based conference and events venue, is celebrating the best financial results in its 47-year history with its holding company HTS Management Holdings Ltd reporting a revenue increase of 3.5%.
The venue’s financial forecast for the next 12 months looks healthy with a 5% increase in business on the books compared to the same period last year. A 10% increase in enquiries during September has also given the specialist training venue a boost following a year of investment and refurbishment.
“The results are obviously great news for the venue following a period of time where we have actively looked to invest in its future,” commented Heni Fourie, Director of Sales and Marketing at Lane End Conference Centre. “Refurbishment and investment across the site as well as the launch of a new-look website has played a part in achieving such a milestone but it is important that we continue to evolve as a multi-purpose venue. We want to keep improving our facilities and services and these end of year results certainly give us the foundation to work from.”
Lane End also recently added an indoor Table Tennis Court adjacent to The Cedar Club, which was opened in 2015. The addition of The Cedar Club Annexe adds to Lane End’s on-site leisure facilities making it an ideal venue for residential conferences and events in close proximity to London.
A strategic investment plan has been running since 2012 which has seen the refurbishment of all the conference facilities, coffee lounges and dining rooms, 60% of the bedrooms, investment in superfast direct fibre optic broadband and the addition of two new buildings — The Cedar Club and Cedar Club Annexe. A new double height reception building will also be built next year which will conclude the current refurbishment programme.
